Welcome Support Services provides direction for centralized purchasing, shipping and receiving, distribution services, contract administration, and property management. Support Services consists of the administrative offices of Assistant Vice Chancellor for Support Services, Thomas R. Kemp, and four service departments: Contract Services, Distribution Services, Procurement Services and Property Services. These departments form the basic infrastructure support for the entire UAMS Campus. Continuing programs involved in improving customer service include automation of the procurement process, supply chain optimization, asset tagging and tracking of all movable capital equipment, and an off-site distribution facility.
